Simple heuristics for piloting the deck:
1. Only trade when you need to take advantage of a temporary buff, or expect fervor to be removed.
2. Only play around 1 damage prophecies if you risk losing a favourable board state to Werebat.
3. Mulligan aggressively for 1 drops. You have 10, not opening one is unfortunate.

Also, I can’t really see Thieves Guild Recruit having a role here. You can’t take advantage of the cost-reduction ability nor from the body as an activator for a kill (no Finish Off or Leaflurker), so if the card cycle is the only thing you want why not playing Shadow Shift to avoid unfavorable trades or go through guards?

I would argue that Medic > aldmeri though. Only 7 actions give abysmal odds of getting the buff, and when medic’s played on a minion already in play, the +0/2 gets charge as well. Butcher becomes markedly weaker without medic to dictate trades like this. Aldmeri just doesn’t fill the same role.
Thieves Guild Recruit is there to smoothen out the curve. While not being super strong per se, he gets you closer to Fervor, gets buffed by fervor itself, and makes for a decent answer to annoying bubbles. Amazing top deck t6-10 when you’re fishing for that last Cliff Racer to finish your opponent off!
10? 7!
