I usually play all my creatures in the shadow lane so that my opponent is forced to also play his creatures in the shadow lane so that whenever I get my hands on a Slaughterfish Spawning or a Golden Saint, my opponent has a serious problem in their hands with no creature in the field lane and the shadow lane to deal with.
The 13 prophecies cards in the deck are there to raise your chances of winning against other aggro decks. Grahtwood Ambusher, has got to be one of my favorite prophecies in this deck, turns out this card has decent stats for its cost, but most importantly, the ability to deal 1 damage to all opponents creature can totally turn the tides of a battle when facing other aggro decks.
Hive defender might seem weird as a card to run in an aggro deck, but it’s ability to protect your low toughness creatures from opponents creatures is invaluable, and it can even kill opponents guard creatures if you need to. I tried Hive Warrior and was very disapointed, Hive Defender is definitely better in almost any case.
The removal is there for inevitable opponents guard creatures or as a mean to remove drain creatures. I believe you can safely run cards like Spiteful Dremora if you wish to and maybe even raise your success rate with this deck!
Dawnbreaker is just awesome, any equip can really screw your opponent plans to stop your advance and the ability to kill an undead is always welcome.
Reive can be replaced with any other card really, it’s just a card I like to play.
