Summerset Shieldmage helps to survive mass removal + allows you to trade 1 for 2 + it is perfect for our mana curve.
Cleric of Kyne helps to control board.
With extended card draw (3 Priest of the Eight + 3 Eastmarch Crusader) it is possible to dig for answer you need so I decided to run 3 Imprison.
Call of Valor is fair card 3/3 for 3 which can do 4 3/3 for 3 mana. It is striking much more frequently as you may think.
Last tech is Mecinar`s Will. It gives us an opportunity to trade 1 for 2 + steal guards (Hive Defender for ex.) BUT do not forget about Summerset Shieldmage buff which may not allow 2nd enemy creature to die.
The main idea is to provide early board set-up. So try to keep 1-2nd drop and something what may help them next turn. Do not waste your time hitting opponent creatures when you are mostly sure the opp will trade itself and has no broken tricks. People are very nervous playing against this deck and always panic thinking that you may kill them next turn.
This is my first deck here. I realized that I am able to do my own builds which can successfully fight against top steamers` decks. And so are you! Be more familiar and try something new!

I removed one Cloudrest Illusionist and added three Piercing Javelin and a Grisly Gourmet. I went 7-2 in the Allegiance Gauntlet.
My modifications:
-3 Dawnstar Healers
-1 Cloudrest Illusionist
-2 Mecinar’s Wills
+3 Pit Lions
+3 Piercing Javelins
Went 14-1 in the first two runs but I only went 4-3 in the third one, so overall 18-4. Managed to reach #122 place. Worst matchups were Red aggro decks, I lost 3 out of 6 against them but I guess I could win more if I made fewer misplays. Good deck though!
Dawnstar Healers allows us to play more aggressive without thinking about our health and they are essential agains mono red match-ups
Thank you for your feed back and good luck!
