I’m using this control mage deck to climb the season 3 ladder. I’m updating the deck list as I tune things. This is a continuation of my control mage from season 2 that I used to get to legend rank and it’s continuing to work well in season 3.
The 2 and sometimes 3 cards above the 50 card minimum are for the sideboard, cards to swap in and out when you need to adapt to the meta or spice things up. The other 50 cards of the deck are tuned well and do not change. You can completely remove the sideboard cards and just use the core deck to good effect.
