So I played this deck a lot at legend rank before the nerfs, got #1 a couple of time with it, it’s too early to know how it will fare in the new meta but it hasn’t been affected by the nerfs.

The deck plays like most midrange tokens, you contest the board quite strongly in the early turn to be able to get a lethal around turn 7-8 once your opponent can’t come back. The idea of the deck is to keep a strong mono-yellow shell as Ally is a card you kind of need to activate in a lot of situations.

In term of cards choices, Bruma Profiteer and Khuul Lawkeeper are both really good for the aggro match-ups, Hive Defender was cut at some point but it could come back depending on the meta, but Raiding Party was just a better defending tool against Hlaalu while being stronger offensively against everything else. Ambitious Hireling is an unexpected buff, and it synergizes very well with the rest of the deck. I don’t play Ash Berserker or Ulfric’s Housecarl as I feel both cards will generally be just win-more in such a deck, I prefer less conditionnal draw.

In general, I feel that deck is the right balance between aggro and mid-range for me, but it may not be the case for you in the current meta, so feel free to try different things!

EDIT: I also took first place in the Rumble using that deck:

What can I replace Dawn Braker with, as I don’t have the legendary. If there is nothing better, then I might as well just craft it.

Dawnbreaker is really good in tokens as in most yellow decks because it’s an amazing card and it provides a good burst. That being said it’s not a core card of the deck so you can easily replace it with Hive Defender, a third Eastmarch Crusader or one of the 2 4-drop that draw I mentioned, depending on what feels best for you.

In my opinion (only rank 2) Dawnbreaker is a great card to craft. Clockwork Apostle would give the same buff, but that’s 7 magicka and doesn’t kill undead but also leaves a 3/3 body on the field.

Looks Good, but why no Imperial Reinforcements? Seems like a staple token inclusion????

Believe me, I love Reinforcements and would be happy to play it. But in the current meta it’s often too slow against control decks, and doesn’t do much against aggro. It’s really good against mid-decks (especially blue mids) but the match-up is already a good one.

I tried this game, very good to play against Hlaalu ! Thanks

Trying to use this deck to climb out of the dregs after letting my ranking slip the past two months, and really struggling.

This deck struggles against simple things like ice storm coined on 6, windkeep spellsword into young mammoth curve, or pretty basic prophecies like moonlight werebat (or pretty much any drain).

Resolute ally misses half the time for me, maybe I’m just unlucky. I know there are only six red cards in the deck, so maybe I’m just unlucky.

Ice Storm is really strong against the deck indeed, you have to recognize the match-ups where it will be a factor and try to play around it (usually doing trades that are not the best in term of value to keep more cards over 3 health and not putting all your hand on the board even if it means sacrificing mana efficiency).
There is hardly a deck that does not struggle against purple perfect curve, but honestly I never really had trouble against purple mids, you can normally get good trades into their creatures at the beginning, the important thing is to know when to start the race, as usually this deck will win in a race against most mid decks.

Concerning the allies, they’re supposed to hit 88 % of the time (this percentage varies during games but you normally never end up in a situation where it’s under 50 %), so yes, if you miss half of the time you’re unlucky and sadly there is not much I can advise about it!

Can you talk about why you went with khuul over hive defender? Khuul heavily underperformed when I tested it out, although that was before the DV nerf and DV totally ruined it. Is defender just too slow and clunky in your hand vs aggro?

First of all, the process going to this deck wasn’t really “Khuul over Hive Defender”, as the previous version had both, Hive Defender got replaced by Raiding Party when I decided to divert from mono-yellow.

What I like with Khuul is that it puts constant pressure on your opponent, they can ignore it but it might backfire for them at some point (especially combined with Firebrand or Hireling). The fact that associated with Captain/Trainer it trades well against most of your aggro opponent threats is also really interesting.
That being said Hive Defender is still one of the best turn 4 available, so if you like it more I don’t think it makes the deck terrible to change for it!

Embarassing deck, hugely inconsistent,i’ve tried against a llalu and he simply destroy me spamming crudlecrash giants hive defenders and guards etc.against tribunal midrange he literally obliterated me so there’s no really anything on this deck to be good.P.s. i was legend last month and i’ve beaten usually rank 50 or higher, after i was bored of climbing.

Well, no deck is 100 % consistent. It’s true control Hlaalu can be tough if you’re not able to put enough pressure before he gets Cradlecrush, normally Tribunal midrange shouldn’t be a problem, but good starts can always happen.
So maybe you got unlucky, maybe you need more practice with the deck (contrary to popular belief, tokens aren’t that easy to play, the number of decisions per turn is huge), maybe it doesn’t feel your playstyle, maybe all of the above.

Very good deck against quite everything in this meta , i’ve cut down one Bruma and one Scouting Patrol for two Ulfric’s Housecarl because i think it’s very efficient against some decks . It performed very well on high legend ranks as i hit #58 mostly with it at the end and i climbed very well too on the start of this month. If some of you have no efficiency with this deck i think that’s because you don’t play it as it should be. It’s not a must go face deck , but mostly board contesting pressure on the first turns with the right trades before outplaying your oponent with big attacks . Congrats Fufu for that list and all the success you had with it last month !

Very good deck, and your strategy advice was sound. Once I got the hang of it, I can beat most decks. I am 13-2, including a win over a current ranked #6 player on the ladder I shall not name laugh-6877754. Thanks, to both of you.

Well-crafted deck! I’ve hated playing against this type of deck in the past, so it’s nice to use against competitors instead of getting slaughtered by it. ????

This deck is stronger now because of the nerf on Drain Vitality.
I don’t like Khuul Lawkeeper and I would like to play something more aggressive.. suggestion smile-3828175?

Although I never played with it, if you want more aggressivity while keeping the same curve and color balance, you could try Morthal Executioner.
Otherwise, there is always the possibility to play natural Firebrands, or play more card draw with either 3 Ash Berserker or 1 Eastmarch+2 Ulfric’s Housecarl.

I am having much suggess by playing Warclaw Mercenary instead of Bruma Profiteer, since in the matches I played life was never a concern: indeed I would have preferred to have some more broken runes to gain cards. I’m actually undefeated (9-0) at rank 5/4, great deck!

This deck is pure violence, I absolutely love it.

I lost to a Kizzle BM and then beat that exact deck next turn. Aggro Dagoth went down like a drunk, rank 12 mono. Control doesn’t have the curve, no chance. When a challenge arises, a response appears.

This is way too much fun. Thank you HoriuchiFufu! We are not worthy.
