I can definitely see this as a two or one of in dwemer decks to double up on power gained when you drop halls. Unfortunately, it is a 4 drop and not a 5 drop. 4 slot in dwemer is usually uncontested though, so it will be interesting to see this there.

I bet he can get pretty wicked in item battlemage decks. Or when followed up by in a reasonably populated board.

I noticed that when my changed to beast form – and thus gained +2/+1 – Marauder Chieftain did not gain power. I assume this is possibly due to the particular wording of Beast Form (!)

Because werewolves don’t technically gain any power when they transform. They turn into a completely different card, instead of receiving a stat boost. This is also why werewolves don’t lose any stats when silenced.
