Learning from my Crusader deck, I kinda felt like just buffing stuff with high hp to deal with Drain Vitality was kind of alright. To the point where I said fuck it, we’re adding High Hrothgar. Unlike most Hrothgar decks, this is not a maximum value deck, but it just happens to get value as well. This makes not drawing Hrothgar not that big of a deal as you already have lots of tool to make your high HP creatures be useful and instead you just take the board with creatures that don’t die until they’ve taken dmg 2x whilst continuously buffing them and then continue on to murder your opponent. bigsmile-8249428

I tried this first in just Spellsword, but the options to draw a few extra cards are still kinda non-existent if you’re still focusing on trading efficiently.

This deck is a lot of fun. The only problem i have is the crowdy 4 Magicka Spot. My hands with this deck are often full of cards (thanks to the massive drawing) and i can only play one card and i have to waste 2-3 magicka because i can’t use it for a second card.

Any suggestions to get a lower curve or do you think it is not needed?

And what do you think about changing items for Redoran Battlespear and Daedric Crescent? I think both will fit very well in this deck.

Play those bonus card draw cards as late as possible! 1 of the worst possible plays in this game is playing Crusaders Assault on T3 unless it’s the only way to do a must trade, otherwise just play more creatures and you won’t have a problem with that.
