Ramp early on + keep control of the board. This is the weak point of the deck. Not much to work with early on, but don’t get discouraged. I’ve come back to win the match from as low as 1 health many times. Just try and survive through turn 6 and then use the following combos to gain control:
Doomcrag Vampire + Nord Firebrands = Territorial Vipers
Doomcrag Vampire + Sharpshooter Scout = Allena Benoch
Doomcrag Vampire + Tree Minder = Fighters Guild Recruit
Whirling Duelist + Daedric Dagger clears the lane
10/24 – Edits while at work. Not tested yet, but feel like Wrothgar Forge has been underperforming and I need more early removal. Also taking out the Valenwoods Huntsman for Skaven (keep in mind when used with a Doomcrag this will clear the entire lane outside of Skaven, your Doomcrag included)
10/25 – Not sure how much I liked the changes, but unsure of what else to do for early game stabilization. I’m thinking to just accept that we will lose if facing an agrro deck with a good draw. I’ll post a more detailed guide once I get a build down that I’m happier with.
Got some good ideas from a Reddit post…will try out Disciple of Namira for extra draw. Am pretty bummed at the 5 magicka cost, but worth a shot.
11/8 – Back for season 3! Made some changes – primarily taking out Ramp in favor of some more mid range cards including my favorite – Withered Hand Cultist!

I think with more Options and Doomcrag Vampire u have more Control on the Board and not so much RNG. U Focus on u Deck is on this Cards:
Raiding Party, Nord Firebrand, Deadric Dagger, Whirling Duelist.
For these “4 Sets” u need fast Card Draw. When u must use a Dagger, it can be u haven´t this Card for a next important Turn. Only Option than, is Nord Firebrand.
For Card Draw u use Disciple of Namira and Rapid Shot.
U will not come over 50 Cards. But so u have alone for this Kernel-Build ~15 Cards. And when only Combo not Works it can be that all Combos not works.
So i think it is to enough for one or two Situations on Board and to slow for the META.
U List of Combos:

Doomcrag Vampire + Earthbone Spinner = Allena Benoch vs Ward
Whirling Duelist + Trebuchet RNG Allena Benoch
Doomcrag Vampire + Grahtwood Ambusher (Prophecy) = clear the lane, too
Doomcrag Vampire + Skaven Pyromancer = Dawn’s Wrath
Doomcrag Vampire + Bone Colossus & Skeletons = can be a rescue (its not bad when u play with Necromancer’s Amulet)
We have not enough hard removal for clean and Control the Board, so i think the best Way are creatures to become a cleanBoard or more Control of them. A faster Build can be stable worked and vs Hist u have the Combo with: Doomcrag Vampire + Skaven Pyromancer = Dawn’s Wrath.
Try a Version without Hist Grove, thats 3 Slots in u Deck.
For the Early:
U can often wound enemy creatures so u can try Silvenar Tracker.
Withered Hand Cultist but looking ahead for u Crushing Blow.
Mage Slayer, or Fearless Northlander
MidGame:
Fearless Northlander, Trebuchet (underrate nice Card)
and Blood Dragon for more pressure.
So u must not every Turn react. So u can act a Turn easier.
LateGame:
I think to much big Creatures makes the Fact for this Build to slow. Try it as an Midrange Deck a close the Game before Turn 15
All Words not angry or offense. Its my personal Feedback, that i think this is a nice Deck-Idea and u see it make me a lots of Fun to fiddle on u Version

I’ve made some of the changes you recommended and the deck has been doing great. No ramp is much better in this meta and the Withered Hand Cultists are amazing v.s Assassin.

Feedback: I think the Early is a little bit to weak to control the Board. I think it can be optimized. Its PuzzleWork to find the best Way, i know.

You’re very right that the early game can use some work. I find myself with nothing to do for the first 1-4 turns way too often. I’m just hoping for Windkeep Spellsowrds, Tree Minders and Rapid Shots in my opening hands. If I don’t have those against Aggro I’m dead.
Not exactly sure what else I could put in there just yet. Will have to experiment
