It is very budget friendly, using only Commons and Rares and many of the cards are given to you as you progress through the main story.
How to play this deck:
It’s all about most number of games per hour.
We’re not here to practice, not here to learn or have a “good game”, or really even think much about what we are doing. We are here to farm soul gems as quickly as possible so we can get back to playing real games.
When it works, it works fast, ending games as early as Turn 4 and rarely extending beyond Turn 7.
When it doesn’t work, you surrender.
You can usually tell when a match is doomed; you had a terrible mulligan, bad card draw, or the AI just has an answer to everything you throw down (it happens, I swear sometimes they cheat) Whatever the reason, its not worth the time to try to scrape out a win. Just surrender and jump back into a fresh match.
Strategy:
Not a whole lot of strategy here. Basically, you just smash opponent in the face as hard as you friggin’ can every turn. You will pretty much be summoning all your cards in to the Shadow Lane. Think of all creatures as one-time use. Just throw ’em down in shadow and smash face as hard as you can, when you can. Don’t worry much about making trades unless you absolutely have to. Just smash face and let the AI make the trades (they frequently make poor trades). Don’t be afraid to eat damage like candy, just make sure you are dishing out more than you receive. (Many of my games are won with less than 5 health).
Tips:
* You can put low damage utility cards like Sharpshooter Scout in the Field Lane to help split up opponent defenses and keep your Shadow Lane clear.
* Bone Bow is best used when Guards are in your way.
* Getting a Bog Lurcher out on Turn 3 or 4 is an almost guaranteed 9 damage on the following turn. Putting an Assassin Bow on it before you attack almost always guarantees another attack on the next turn.
* If you summon Mighty Ally and you DO NOT get the buff, it means the card on the top of your Library is a Lightning Bolt. If you have a Afflicted Alit in your hand, you might be able to break one of your own runes, triggering the prophecy and casting Lightning Bolt for free.
* Try to save Lightning Bolt for face, if you can.

I see in the deck history you had Fiery Imp but removed them, are you still liking that change? I use the deck as it currently is, but I’ve added 3x Fiery Imp (I can’t recall if I removed anything or if I’m running 53 cards) … But ya, I feel like I get a ton of use from Fiery Imp but if you think removing it has been beneficial maybe I’ll give it a try …
Fiery Imp was fine at times, but for a one drop, the Sharpshooter Scouts are much more useful (instant removal, ward breaking, etc) and with the rest of the deck, you do not need the extra 2 face damage from the Imps.
Also the damage from Steel Scimitar (the other 1 drop) can be applied the same turn you draw it off the top of library. (remember, speed is the name of the game)
As much as I like hearing people use my decks successfully, I think A.I. gem farm grinding is a thing of the past.
I replaced the Riften Pillagers (3 cost) with Protectors of the Innocent (2 cost prophecy) and I replaced the Lightening Bolts (4 cost prophecy) with Deranged Corpus (2 cost Agility). These changes increased my win rate to 95% against the expert AI as you are now much more likely to have something good to play at by turn 2 even if you don’t have the ring.
