Finally, the day that we show our allegiances has come. Cauldron Keeper and Tower Alchemist have been working very hard in preparation and, as a result, a new abomination has arrived. It goes awooooo…
The tournament went pretty well. I only lost 3 games to red decks and 1 to yellow, 3 of which where against aggro and 2 had never ending charge creatures. Out of those 4 games, I think that I could have won 3 of them with more precise play and better mulligans, but apparently practicing for 8 hours wasn’t enough to teach me the lessons of not being too greedy!
Currently I am in 5th place and I really hope to get some new foil legendary cards!
Finally, I got criticized as being a try hard by Merakon while playing him with this deck in casual. They then unfriended me after I thanked them for the game. Is that a win?
Hopefully I don’t get pushed out of the top 8 by those who scummed their way to the top with aggro or tokens. Good luck if you aren’t using those strategies… Sadly, that will probably be the case – I don’t think that my tie breaks are good and there is bound to be a few more people who benefit from the low hanging fruit of mindless attacking.
UPDATE:
Pushed out of the top 8, but still had an enjoyable time during the games that the opponent didn’t equip Improvised Weapon to their Nord Firebrand to deal an extra 1 damage on turn 1.
