I am not really thrilled by the , but as with every monthly reward card, I at least want to try to make it work to begin with and see how much fun we can get out of it.

I am usually opposed to RNG cards like Mundus Stone and the like. But in this case, it is not so much about the actual keywords, as with getting as many keywords on the creatures as possible, for the added-value from Battlereeve.

EDIT: According to Merakon from Direwolf Digital the keywords are: Breakthrough, Charge, Drain, Guard, Lethal, Regenerate, and Ward.

I expected Prophecy to be part of the list, so I decided on a Prophecy Assassin as basis. Will switch out some cards now, but maybe this will make Battlemage a better foundation.

I love this item and always play three of them in my Scout decks. But in this case, I got two set of creatures with drain and will probably get more with Royal Sage and Mundus Stone. The drain can then also be spread with Mentor’s Ring, in the best case.

But it would be certainly a way to give one or two creatures an additional keyword. I would try without it and rather have more creatures to begin with, but maybe come back to it.

Everyone is hoping that this card synergizes with ‘prophecy’ as a keyword. It probably wont… but if it does, this card may actually be pretty good.

It was already confirmed that it won’t work on Prophecy. That is certainly a disappointment for my Prophecy Assassin build, but I will try it out anyway, as there are still great Agility

cards, especially with Charge.

But I will play around now some more with my Battlemage in this case.
