Mid-Tier Upgrades
Brynjolf’s Heist

• Replace the weakest cards, adding more rares and a handful of epics to improve the deck.
• Keep the flavor of the original pre-constructed deck as much as possible.
• Does NOT include cards from Fall of the Dark Brotherhood.
• Focus deck synergies around the included legendary.
• Max Cost: 1600 incremental Soul Gems
Top-Tier Upgrades
Brynjolf’s Heist
Alduin’s Apocalypse
Aela’s Companions
Ancano’s Cunning
Paarthurnax’s Roar – In Progress
These decks closely resemble many of the top-tier decks in the meta. They should allow most players to reach Rank 1 or even legend with practice.
• Replace additional cards, including more epics and a handful of legendaries to improve the deck.
• Develop tighter synergies between the cards, even if this means losing some of the flavor of the original deck.
• May include cards from Fall of the Dark Brotherhood.
• Includes the original legendary, but it might not be the strongest card in the deck.
• Max Cost: 3200 incremental Soul Gems

Ancano’s Cunning (Top-Tier Upgrade)
Comments on Upgrade
The original deck uses some components of the “Blink” strategy, where you play creatures with strong Summon effects and then use other cards to resummon that creature to gain additional effects. The Blink strategy is typically used in Control decks because it generally plays slower. Since the Control version can cost 20,000 or more Soul Gems, we will try to create a Prophecy Midrange deck.
Summary of Changes vs. Mid-Tier Upgrade
• Replaced 10 cards
• Increased Prophecies from 18 to 24
• Incremental Cost: 3000 Soul Gems
Card Replacements
-3 Dark Rebirth
+3 Eastmarch Crusader (300 Soul Gems)
Dark Rebirth is only strong in a Blink deck, and in a tempo-oriented deck like this, Eastmarch Crusader can help with providing extra card draw.
-3 Winterhold Illusionist
+3 Fate Weaver (300 Soul Gems)
Winterhold Illusionist is the last of the cards with the Blink effect, and Fate Weaver is a staple in Prophecy decks.
-1 Mage’s Trick
+1 Ayrenn (1200 Soul Gems)
Ayrenn is one of the strongest dual-color legendaries in the game and getting an extra Lightning Bolt or Piercing Javelin back into your hand (at a discount) can be game-breaking. Make sure that you have played an action already before playing her or you will lose out on the Summon effect.
-3 Conjuration Scholar
+3 Loyal Housecarl (1200 Soul Gems)
Loyal Housecarl is a strong Prophecy card.
Additional replacements in the future as you obtain the cards:
-3 Camlorn Sentinel
-3 Daggerfall Mage
This reduces the number of Prophecy cards, but it is worth it to make room for what is generally considered to be the best card in the game.
-1 Expert Atromancer
-1 Supreme Atromancer
Expert Atromancer upgrades to Supreme Atromancer when you hit level 40, but if you happen to open or Soul Summon (craft) a second Supreme Atromancer then you should swap it in. Remember not to Soul Summon a third copy of Supreme Atromancer if you haven’t yet reached level 40, since you will end up with a fourth copy when Expert Atromancer upgrades.
